In the Huddersfield District League Premier Division Linthwaite Athletic are up to second place after their 9th win in nine matches beating Britannia Sports 3-0.
Netherton beat AFC Lindley 4-2 with goals from Alfie Brown, Ryan Burchael, Adam Robertshaw and Harry Prosser to move up to fourth place. Josh Wrigley scored both for AFC Lindley.
Deighton slipped down to fifth place losing 4-3 at Slaithwaite United. Ben Boulton scored a hat-trick for Slawit with Greg Bower scoring the other. Jamal Simpson (two) and Coron Rowe scored for Deighton.
Diggle sprang another shock this week beating former Division 1 leaders Huddersfield Laund Hill 2-1 with goals from Samuel Bagshaw and Mitchell Bryden. Jordan Jaber scored for Laund Hill who drop down to second place.
Saddleworth United went top with a brace from Shaun Roscoe in their 2-0 win over bottom club Holme Valley Academicals.
Moorside moved up to third and a point behind Laund Hill following their 9-4 win at Almondbury Woolpack with goals from Jason Evans (four), Jordan Pye (three), Joe Fagan and Tyler Newton. Robert Sheard, Ethan Denniss (two) and Courtney Allert scored for the Woolpack.
David Chew, Matthew Hall, Ryan Trafford, Chris Johnson and Kyle White scored for Scissett in their 5-0 win over Lepton Highlanders.
Lewis Haigh and Jack Woods both scored twice as Skelmanthorpe beat an under-strength Fothergill and Whittles 4-1 with Josh Crook scoring for Fothergill’s. Woods leads the League’s scoring charts with 34 goals so far this season.
Devonte Gayle, Phabian Sylvester and Eddie Hamlett scored as Newsome Reserves beat Netherton Reserves 3-0 to move up to fourth in Division 2.
Slaithwaite United Reserves stay in third place in Division 3 after being held to a 3-3 draw at Hade Edge. Lewis Barden, Michael Mabey and Andrew Daisey scored for the Edge and Ryan Patterson (two) and Issac Brown scoring for Slawit.
Cumberworth Reserves went top of Division 4 following their 3-0 win at Diggle Reserves with goals from Harry Stubbs, Jon McKinley and William Blake.
Wooldale Wanderers Reserves are up to fourth place beating Scissett Reserves 5-0 with goals from Jed Machen (two), Jake Marshall (two) and Reece Dickinson.
Deighton A extended their lead at the top of Division 5 following their 4-0 win over Britannia Sports A with goals from Alan Nichols (two), Martin Hirst and Amari David. Brook Motors moved up to third place following their 5-1 win over Almondbury Woolpack Reserves with goals from John Lodge (two), Josh Armitage (two) and Max Pedley. Stephen Brook scored for the Woolpack.
Newsome are through to the semi finals of the Barlow Cup beating Honley 6-2 with goals from Ryan Fisher, Deon Simmonds, Darius Matheson, Doran Jordan (two) and Chris Capone. Sean Clegg and Joe Kelly scored for Honley.
Berry Brow are also through following their 5-1 win over Shepley with goals from Kyle Walton (two), Paul Pyke (two) and Daniel Facey.
Holmbridge will play Skelmanthorpe in the quarter final next week following their 4-3 win at Kirkburton with goals from Charlie Allen, Jordan Saville and Samuel Hellawell (two). Mikey Vickerman (two) and Joe Lockwood scored for Burton.
In the Groom Cup Berry Brow Reserves beat Meltham Athletic Reserves 8-1 to move into the quarter finals.
Berry Brow A are through to the semi finals following their 2-1 win over Heywood Irish Centre with goals from Matthew Howes and Yunus Abdulmumini.
AFC Volunteers are also through to the semi finals beating Meltham Athletic 3-0 with goals from Ryan Matthews (two) and William Gregson.
Cameron Wilkey (two), Jacob Bentley, Shane Kelly and Stephen Chandler scored as Grange Moor Saints beat Skelmanthorpe Reserves 5-1 to also go through to the semi finals. Jordan Geldart scored for Shat.
