Huddersfield Giants U19 Ladies played host to Leeds Rhinos U19 Ladies at Laund Hill. The fixture ended in a 72-4 defeat for Huddersfield against a much more experienced Leeds team.
Despite Huddersfield’s best efforts they couldn’t handle the strength and power of a Rhinos team which featured several Super League players.
Huddersfield’s only score of the game came from Izzy Powell who managed to drift beyond the Leeds defence and register a try for the hosts.
With Leeds 28-4 in front at the break, things did not improve for the young Giants and Leeds went on to completely dominate the second half.

To their credit, Huddersfield did not give up but each time they attacked, Leeds were ready and waiting and the Giants were unable to find a way through. The final score was 72-4 to a very speedy, confident and well-organised Leeds side.
Despite the scoreline there were lots of strong performances, and plenty of positives from Huddersfield and there is much to build on for next time.
