Brass band lunchtime Christmas concerts
The University of Huddersfield Brass Band will be performing their Christmas Spectacular filled with majestic fanfares and classic carols.
You can see this lunchtime concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Monday December 6 at 1pm and at Dewsbury Town Hall on Wednesday December 6 2021 at 12.30pm. Tickets £5 plus booking fee.

Opera North Christmas Concert
Opera’s North’s Christmas Concert returns to Dewsbury Town Hall, promising seasonal favourites including Will Todd’s Jazz Carols and music by Yorkshire-born composer Angela Morley, performed by the company’s orchestra, chorus and youth chorus, and conducted by chorus master Oliver Rundell.

Huddersfield Youth Choirs’ Music for Christmas
The Huddersfield Youth Choirs present a programme of Christmas music from around the world, with David Pipe at the organ.
With the hall decorated colourfully, carols for all to sing, and the beautiful voices of the young choirs joined by the grand organ, this will be a lovely way to get into the festive spirit!

Orchestra of Opera North – The Snail and the Whale
A double bill of much-loved Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler animations comes to Huddersfield Town Hall’s big screen along with a full, live orchestra.
A tiny snail hitches a ride on the tail of a huge humpback whale for a lift around the world in The Snail and the Whale. Then happy-go-lucky Stick Man becomes separated from his family – will he make it home in time for Christmas?

Viennese Whirl Opera North
The Orchestra of Opera North and guests see out the year with waltzes, marches and song from the City of Music.
The Vienna Philharmonic’s famous concerts at the Musikverein have made the city, and the music of the Strauss family, synonymous with New Year celebrations.
