Golcar United boss Ash Connor wants to see a positive start to the second half of their North West Counties Division One North campaign on Saturday as they take on AFC Darwen.
The two clubs met two weeks ago in one of the most enthralling games so far this season. United came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3 in what was an emotional evening at the Skye Direct Stadium.
Connor is hoping the game away at Darwen this time around isn’t as dramatic.
He said: “Having played them a couple of weeks ago we know what a tough side they are. They know how to put the ball in the net and they have dangerous players all over the pitch.

“Hopefully we don’t have to come from 3-1 down again to try and win. However that result shows that we have terrific determination and squad togetherness in adversity.
“We know it will be a real scrap when we go there but it would be great if we can go on another run.
“We want to keep the pressure up on the teams at the top.”
The Weavers sit second in the table behind Bury AFC. Both clubs have 42 points but Bury have a far superior goal difference.
